CZ: Nová série obrazů Martina Salajky (1981) se volně vztahuje k jeho nedávné cestě po rovníkové Africe. Odkazuje k ní i její název. Anglické slovo bushmeat označuje maso divokých zvířat lovených v tropických oblastech pro obživu nebo zisk. Zároveň těžko hledat termín, který by do sebe lépe koncentroval hlavní problémy (nejen) této oblasti ať se týkají zdravotních, ekologických nebo environmentálních otázek, které v další fázi zahrnují kulturní nebo ekonomické aspekty celého světa.
Pro Martina Salajku je to však především expresivní významově-emotivní zkratka, která působí jako zhutnělá vizuální energie. Takže i když jeho nové obrazy definují konkrétní silné zážitky, ať je to nezvladatelný lesní požár nebo odvěké říční koryto prodírající se džunglí, nejsou primárně postavené na motivu, ale na výrazu. Jinými slovy ještě divočejším rukopise, pastách roztíraných přímo prsty a vyhrocené barevnosti. Váchalovskou démoničnost, která dříve vzývala spíš civilizační temnotu, tentokrát vyvolává z původních zdrojů, jež jsou dnes už Evropě cizí, a její nedefinovatelná síla, tomu odpovídá.
EN: Martin Salajka's new series of paintings (1981) loosely relates to his recent trip to equatorial Africa. Its title also refers to it. The English word bushmeat refers to the meat of wild animals hunted in tropical areas for subsistence or profit. At the same time, it is difficult to find a term that would better concentrate the main problems (and not only) of this area, whether they relate to health, ecological or environmental issues, which in the next phase include cultural or economic aspects of the entire world.
For Martin Salajka, however, it is primarily an expressive semantic-emotional abbreviation that acts as a condensed visual energy. So even though his new paintings define specific strong experiences, whether it is an uncontrollable forest fire or an ancient riverbed cutting through the jungle, they are not primarily built on a motif, but on an expression. In other words, an even wilder handwriting, pastes spread directly with fingers and heightened colors. Váchalov's demonic nature, which previously invoked civilizational darkness, is now evoked from original sources that are now foreign to Europe, and its indefinable power corresponds to this.
Charity Exhibition

CZ: Srdečně Vás zveme na slavnostní večer spojený s křtem uměleckého kalendáře NADĚJE 2025 a vernisáží charitativní výstavy Naděje předních českých umělců současné výtvarné scény v prostorách PLATFORMY 15, Písecká 15, Praha 3 v úterý 3.12. od 19:00. Charitativní výstava bude následně k vidění od 3.12. do 10.12.2024.
Projekt výtvarného charitativního kalendáře pro pražskou pobočku NADĚJE na podporu lidí bez domova založil v roce 2018 fotograf a malíř Jiří Šourek.
Výtěžek z prodeje kalendáře bude použit na nákup zimního oblečení a bot pro lidi bez domova prostřednictvím kampaně Darujte nohy v teple. Výtěžek výstavy bude věnován na nutnou rekonstrukci sociálního zázemí pro ženy v denním centru NADĚJE U Bulhara v Praze.

EN: We cordially invite you to a festive evening associated with the launch of the NADĚJE 2025 Art Calendar and the opening of the charity exhibition NADĚJE by leading Czech artists of the contemporary art scene in the premises of PLATFORMA 15, Písecká 15, Prague 3 on Tuesday, December 3rd from 7:00 PM. The charity exhibition will then be on view from December 3rd to December 10th, 2024.
The project of the art charity calendar for the Prague branch of NADĚJE to support the homeless was founded in 2018 by photographer and painter Jiří Šourek.
The proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be used to purchase winter clothing and shoes for the homeless through the Donate Warm Feet campaign. The proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to the necessary reconstruction of social facilities for women in the NADĚJE U Bulhara day center in Prague.
